Anonymous: Ooooh Boa Boa Boa, I am SO in love with your art ! Every line, every color... You inspire me every day to keep on drawing and improving ! I also watch your livestreams as much as I can, as it's always a pleasure to see you draw, and I feel like I'm learning in front of my screen ! Then I was wondering, if we miss a livestream, is there any way to catch up on it ? Like your 9h stream for the Yogscast summer day, I missed it and would love to see how you did it !! Is it possible...? Xxx =)
Thank you, Anon and I am flattered that my art inspires you! This really means a lot to me.
Since I do not stream through Livestream.com ‘s Procaster anymore, my streams aren’t saved to their online database. Sometimes I record my streaming sessions and put up a video afterwards (here’s a link to my YouTube channel), but more often than not I do not record them. The 9 hour session was one of the latter that I didn’t record in favour of working on a bigger canvas without lag.
Anonymous: Hi boa! Can I ask you a thing? I have a really good friend that thinks that her art is bad, she does her best to improve, but people don't notice her and she's sad even if I tell her that she's really good, what can I do to let her feel better?
I do not know your friend or her art, but I know from experience that every artists struggles at times with their own art. Sometimes it helps to go back and look at old art to see how far you’ve come already. It takes time to get better and she might think she’s stuck right now but if she is trying her best to improve, she will move past this block in her path.
Your friend should find happiness in her art. If she is happy with what she does and creates things she cares about and loves, people will come to notice her. Passion shows through in your art! And also she should draw for yourself as well. If you only draw for other people or try to get noticed, you’ll might burn yourself out one day. Love what you draw and it will get easier!
This might not be helpful at all for her, but I can only tell her to stick it out if she really wants to draw. Things WILL get better and the roadblock she is facing right now can be overcome.
Anonymous: Hello! You're art is fantastic, and it's awesome that you do musical mixes as well. I was curious about your theme, though, is it a public theme or did you make it yourself? If it is public, do you mind sharing the link/html?
Thank you, Anon!
It’s a public theme, and can be found here!
Anonymous: i'm sure you've probably seen already but just in case you haven't, kim and duncan commented on your art here! reddit(.)com/r/Yogscast/comments/2bxcs2/nano_lalna_just_enjoying_a_summer_day/
I did not see this before,
I am really bad when it comes to reddit I can’t navigate it for shit. But oh man, these comments are so sweet and nice and I was halfway through and had to hide my face in my hands.
Also reddit continues the tumblr trend of people being freaked out by the feet, haha!
ne0nic0 replied to your post “A thing I am working on, added to the pile of things I start but might…”
lovely to see original stuff!! <3
I am sorry, friend, you think too good of me.
"I don’t trust him one bit. Rumour has it he came into money by burning down the houses of his benefactors." Doctor von Trottimus nervously runs a hand through his whiskers, looking at the man beside him. "We can find another way, Ross."
"I don’t care if he stole the money from his own grandmother or dug up a grave. We need the money for HatCorp." Ross turns towards the tall green man in the doorway, offering him his hand. "We have a deal, Mr. Smith."
Mr. Smith flashes a grin at Ross that has way too many teeth for Trott’s liking. “Oh, I am looking forward to working with you. I am an … ardent… supporter of new entrepreneurs.”
I accidentally did a Victorian!AU.
