The idea is that on, let’s say, August 31st, fans goes to comixology and buy Batgirl #1.

The goal is to get her on the bestseller list for the day (or longer) and prove to DC that she’s not “toxic” and there are still fans who want to read about the character.

So, anyone interested?

I love this scene. It also explains why the “I can’t be Batgirl anymore without Brooooose!” scene was bullshit.

Yep. If anyone should have inherited the mantle, it was Cass.

Dick never wanted it, and as much as he brought something new and good to Batman, his nature is being Robin. When Bruce chose Jean Paul the first time around, Dick only got mad for being skipped over because of his personal issues with Bruce. It was his “what am I to you” thing, and not any wish to be Batman.

Tim, on the other hand, would make a good Batman, since he’s more bat than bird. Bruce knew it, and actually planned to make him Batman one day and told him so. However, Tim didn’t want it. Tim never wants to be Batman.

Cass is the only one who feels what being the Bat is about in the same way Bruce does. I don’t think anyone else could understand it in the way the two of them did. Cass is Bruce’s true heir to the Bat. Moreover, she wanted it. She told Babs being the Bat was all she wanted.

So basically DC sucks.

I promised makkikomori and aigue-marine a post about Cass and Kon, because when I told them about their brief relationship, both were surprised.

So I might as well share it on here.

Babs and Cass took a ‘vacation’ on a cruise ship. And how it is with the Bats, no vacation works out for them. What Babs planned as a nice, relaxing trip ended in a fight. They were after the Black Wind and his followers, who targeted this cruise ship. But so was the one and only Superboy, hiding out as ‘Carl’.

He and Cass flirt a bit and after they fight together against the Black Wind, it becomes a bit more.

When time comes to part ways, Cass kisses Kon.

Back in Gotham, Cass can’t shake the feeling and the memories of the boy she met on the cruise. On a whim, she takes a train to Smallville to meet him again.
